What to do in case of data breach?
Nobody can guarantee that their data will not be compromised. A data breach can occur in several ways, for example if:
- an unauthorized person has had access to the data;
- the data has been canceled and is no longer recoverable;
- the data is temporarily not available;
- the data does not have the legal basis to be processed.
What should you do in case of data breach? Do you have to report the violation to a federal agent or a supervisory authority in Europe? Do you need to inform your customers?
LegalLAB experts can advise you in this difficult situation.
